Baltimore, MD - February 22, 2012 – The Association of International Credit and Trade Finance Professionals (ICTF) is bringing "Global Credit Management Excellence, Expert Perspectives and Best Practices” to The Ritz-Carlton in New Orleans, LA for its highly-anticipated Annual Global Credit Professionals Symposium on April 15 – 17, 2012.

Attendees can expect to gain practical insight and receive real-time business intelligence on the most pressing global credit risk management issues. Kicking off this year’s ICTF Symposium in New Orleans is the highly acclaimed keynote speaker Dan Ikenson, Director, Herbert A. Stiefel Center for Trade Policy Studies at The Cato Institute where he focuses on WTO disputes, regional trade agreements, U.S.-China trade issues and anti-dumping reform. Ikenson will present a thought-provoking view of The New Commercial Reality – How 21st Century Global Trade Relations are Hampered by 20th Century Politics, discussing the impact of cross-border investments, transnational production and global supply chains on trade and trade policies.

Following is an in-depth session entitled China: In a League of its Own – Proven Export and In-Country Policies, Practices and Procedures – Common Mistakes and Critical Success Factors, which examines export and in-country legal, cultural, operational, financial, credit and collections aspects. International credit and trade finance practitioners will gain valuable tips on exporting to China as well as setting up in-country operations and selling locally.

Another engaging and highly motivational session is the Energize Your Team, Customers and Profits, with best-selling author, award-winning leadership expert and professional speaker David Cottrell of the Cornerstone Leadership Institute. Based on his book Monday Morning Motivation, Cottrell will provide the tools and resources to become a better leader, take business to new heights and accelerate employees’ performance by using "organization energy”.

In addition, the signature ICTF Best Practices & Ideas Exchange Forum: Best-in-Class Global Credit, Collections and A/R Practices for Maximizing Performance and Growth will provide insights on proven strategies that effectively mitigate risks, unlock working capital and support revenue growth. Led by top international credit management pros from a variety of industries, each topic invites proactive discussion on key issues and new emerging trends, such as: The Alcatel-Lucent Case: Implementing Global Credit and Collection Policies, Processes, Systems and Performance Measurements – Change Management in the Critical Areas of Credit and Collections; and The Elizabeth Arden and Nidec Motor Case: Centralizing Order-to-Cash Activities and Managing Resources in Regional and Global Shared Service Centers in Asia, Europe and Latin America.

On the final day of the Symposium, Dr. Hans Belcsák, ICTF’s Country Intelligence Expert and President of S.J. Rundt & Associates, and Augustine Faucher, V.P. &  Senior Macroeconomist for The PNC Financial Services Group, will launch an in-depth discussion on economic, political and country risk trends shaping the global markets.
